8th Grade Resources
8th Grade Students (future freshmen).....
Annually we hold a "High School Opportunities Night." This event is for all families with students in grades 8-11, however, it is strongly encouraged for all 8th grade students and parents/guardians to attend, as this event is also part one of our Freshmen Orientation.
We invite all students in grades 8-11 and their parents to attend this event here at the high school on Monday, February 10th, 2025.
6:00 - 6:30 p.M. - FRESHMEN ORIENTATION - Informational meeting for 8th graders, parents, and new students about transitioning to our high school. (Following this presentation, families are encouraged to walk around the building to see the classrooms and join the others for the curriculum fair until 7:00 pm.)
6:10 - 7:00 p.m. - CURRICULUM FAIR for parents and students grades 8-11. ELGHS teachers will be available in their rooms to answer questions about their classes, curriculum, and course sequence and give recommendations related to particular career interests. *Mrs. Bunyea will be available to answer questions and assist families following the freshmen orientation presentation.
