Laude System
Laude System allows us to recognize and encourage students to take rigorous courses which will better prepare them for the future.

The Laude System replaces the current grade point average class rank system. The reliance on class rank for college admission is misleading and fosters student behaviors that many educators view as counterproductive to the learning environment. These may include: avoidance of challenging classes that might impact GPA/rank, excessive competition with peers, and a hesitation to take an intellectual and academic risk. Utilizing the Laude System forces college admissions to review the students’ academic rigor, activities and accomplishments, and test scores.

Beginning with the class of 2017, The New Laude was implemented.

The Laude System is a Graduation Recognition System where the Laude Score is based on a formula and students are rewarded for classes taken with rigor.

To qualify  and recognized for Cum Laude or higher of the Laude System: A student must have a minimum of a 3.25 Cumulative GPA and have earned a minimum number of honor points based on course rigor.

The Laude Recognition program is as follows:
Cum Laude-- 7 to 10.5 points
Magna Cum Laude- 11 to 14.5 points
Summa Cum Laude-- Greater than 15 points
